Foreign Funding and Corruption
Corruption is a phenomenon that many would argue has bad connotations. There seems to be a consensus that corruption is unwanted and something that should not exist. Among researchers and economists, there is ambivalence about the real effects of corruption. The issue of corruption has divided many researchers into two groups: those who think that corruption “greases the wheels” and those who think that corruption “sands the wheels” of economic growth.
